Job Purpose:
The IT support role will support the Trinisys IT infrastructure and ensure the smooth operation of the IT systems in order to provide maximum performance and availability for users and customers.

The main functions of this role are:

Trinisys Product Software Development

  • Provide support for internal software development by researching, installing, and maintaining software and servers
  • Create virtual machines as needed for production, testing, and evaluation uses by Trinisys software development
  • Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements
  • Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements
  • Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users
  • Coordinates activities with affected users, departments, and clients
  • Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications

Professional Services and Development Team Support

  • Create virtual machines for each professional services project for the development and testing of the project for the client. Provide hardware and software support for developers, business analysts, account managers, etc.

IT Support

  • Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
  • Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication
  • Refers major hardware problems to the appropriate department for correction
  • Assists users with remote connectivity via VPN, laptops, smartphones and tablets
  • Administers e-mail and anti-virus systems
  • Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a IT support role
  • Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Experience administering Active Directory and Windows Domains
  • Experience managing VPNs and remote access
  • Experience with installation, support and maintenance with many desktop/client applications (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Lync, AntiVirus, Visual Studio, SQL Server)
  • Experience managing servers running SQL Server and Oracle databases
  • Lync Server administration
  • SharePoint administration
  • IP phone management
  • Network administration and troubleshooting
  • WiFi access point administration
